Sony Music to re-release Whitney Houston’s debut album

On 1 March 2010 Sony Music re-release ‘Whitney Houston’ – Whitney Houston’s 1985 debut album that became one of the biggest selling albums of all time and introduced the world to the stunning young talent who became a global superstar.
Lovingly re-mastered and repackaged, this special Deluxe Anniversary Edition is full of Houston’s greatest songs including ‘How Will I Know’ and ‘Saving all My Love For You’. The six times platinum (UK) album also includes bonus tracks of extended club remixes and the previously unreleased ‘Greatest Love Of All’ recorded live at Radio City Music Hall.
With one of the biggest and most recognisable voices in the world, Whitney Houston’s career has spanned over two decades and with over 170 million records sold worldwide, she has achieved unprecedented success as both a singer and a live performer. This Legacy Edition package is an essential reminder of how the world knew instantly, 25 years ago, that Whitney Houston would enter the premier rank of entertainers and stay there for good.
The album has been extended to include a DVD disc featuring official video clips and amazing Television performances such as Whitney Houston’s premiere TV performance on the “Merv Griffin Show”. In addition to this there are two previously unreleased live performances, one of which is the rare and never seen before video of Houston singing ‘I Am Changing’ from DreamGirls at her professional debut showcase in 1985.
Having made a much-anticipated return to the forefront of the music scene and with a tour planned in the UK this April, this deluxe album will reaffirm Whitney Houston’s place as one of the world’s greatest and most-loved artists of all time.
