19th January 2010 Print

The cruise buffs at Virgin Holidays Cruises have been busy putting together a portfolio of cruise holidays to satisfy all wannabe sailors - from the cruise curious to the sea-legged-professional – in the Virgin Holidays Cruises 2010 brochure.

Highlights include the addition of two new six-star cruise lines, Regent Seven Seas and Silversea to formulate Virgin Holidays Cruises ‘Platinum Collection’ with an uber-luxury Caribbean Stay & Cruise starting from £2,499 for a ten night holiday on-board Silver Cloud. Both cruise lines offer the first fully all-inclusive experience to the Virgin Holidays Cruises collection with all gratuities and drinks included on-board.

Star Clippers – intimate sailing ships for the ultimate in laidback luxury – also make a debut for Virgin Holidays Cruises with an itinerary exploring the smaller islands of the Caribbean. Stay & Cruise options start from £2,499 to sail on-board the magnificent 42-sail Royal Clipper.

Once-in-a-lifetime adventures exploring Alaska have been enhanced by the Virgin Holidays Cruises team, now including a week exploring the magnificent Rockies by rail and Rocky Mountaineer Train pre-cruise before joining Diamond Princess to explore Alaska by sea, with prices from £2,249 for a 14-night holiday.

For families after more than just one destination to explore this summer, a cruise ticks the box and epic new family ships have hit the waves to keep everyone entertained. Oasis of the Seas and Carnival Dream are both sailing the Caribbean from Florida, giving families the opportunity to mix with Mickey and hang with Harry in Orlando pre-cruise. Or for the ultimate Disney experience, families can join Disney Magic after their stay with The Mouse on dry land. Prices start from £1,299 per adult for a 14-night Disney Stay & Cruise.

Cruises will continue to represent exceptional value for money throughout 2010, with 7-night Mediterranean cruises starting from £699 on-board Costa Pacifica, inclusive of flights, transfers and a full-board cruise.
