Homeowners with doubts over the strength of the housing market are being reassured that the time is now right to take their next step up the property ladder – and choose their dream home at Taylor Wimpey’s Broadway Fields development.

The leading housebuilder wants those who may be put off making their move to be aware of The Facts when it comes to trading their old property for new, and discover how the new homes collection near Peterborough could be perfect for them.

FACT: House prices in the Peterborough area have increased for six successive months, with the typical home adding more than £2,500 to its value since May 2009 (Land Registry)

FACT: The number of mortgage approvals doubled during 2009 (Bank of England) and net lending is expected to double in 2010 (Council of Mortgage Lenders)

FACT: Taylor Wimpey helped hundreds of homeowners sell their homes in 2009, and the housebuilder’s amazing easymover and Part Exchange schemes make trading in an existing property hassle-free

Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Many homeowners may be unwilling to put their current property up for sale because of uncertainty over the state of the housing market, but when you look at The Facts from the most reliable sources, it’s clear that now is an ideal opportunity to move.

“Rising property prices mean sellers are increasingly likely to achieve a good price for their home, the improving availability of good mortgage deals is making stepping up the ladder easier, and the range of incentives now available at Broadway Fields can make moving house remarkably easy. Anyone interested in finding out more should contact us without delay.”

Under Taylor Wimpey’s easymover initiative, customers with a home to sell can sit back and relax while the housebuilder finds a buyer for their current property in as little as a fortnight. The package can also include help with estate agents’ fees and moving house.

The Part Exchange scheme provides an accurate valuation for the customer’s existing property based on three independent estimates, before deducting the agreed value from the purchase price of a new Taylor Wimpey home.

Part Exchange is available now on selected homes at Broadway Fields, including the impressive four-bedroom semi-detached ‘Suffolk’ with garage and additional parking, priced only £225,000.

This charming double-fronted house boasts a spacious lounge opening through French doors to the private rear garden, a large kitchen/breakfast room with utility room, a separate dining room and a convenient guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, both the master and second bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities, while the landing also leads to two further good-sized bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Like all new homes at Broadway Fields, the ‘Suffolk’ is completed to a high standard specification including double glazing, central heating and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

A host of other stylish homes are also ready to reserve now, including the two-bedroom ‘Saltwell’ from just £129,995, the three-bedroom ‘Coniston’ from only £174,995 and four-bedroom designs including the ‘Hillier’ from £229,995, the ‘York’ from £234,995 and the ‘Azalea’ from £244,995.

Enjoying a peaceful location in Yaxley but with great road links, Broadway Fields is within easy reach of Peterborough’s excellent Queensgate shopping centre and a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and theatres.

For commuters, the A1 and A15 roads are close by while Peterborough railway station provides regular services to King’s Cross in under an hour.

The Broadway Fields Sales Centre is located off The Broadway, Yaxley, and is open seven days a week, from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday and 1.30pm to 5pm on Mondays.
