Dickens Place, Taylor Wimpey’s development in Totton, has enjoyed a storming success since its launch last November and those keen to make their move need to be quick as only six homes remain for sale.

One of the homes available is the three bedroom Charlebury, offering spacious living ideal for young professionals or families. The ground floor features a fully fitted kitchen / breakfast area, living room with patio doors leading to the garden, and a cloakroom. Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms and a contemporary family bathroom.

Pauline Fletcher, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “We’re delighted with the success of Dickens Place but not surprised as we were expecting it to be popular. The development is small, only 14 homes are being built, and our customers welcome this as it provides a more exclusive and intimate environment in which to live. Interest in the remaining homes is already high, so if you want to avoid missing out on the chance to live at Dickens Place I’d recommend you pay us a visit before it’s too late.”

To help make the move easier and more affordable Taylor Wimpey has a range of financial incentives* designed to get people moving onto or up the property ladder. One of the schemes is shared equity which gives you the opportunity to own a brand new home but pay only 85% of the purchase price now – all you need is a 5% deposit.

By using shared equity you’ll have the reassurance that you own 100% of your new home from day one. You’ll only need to find a mortgage on the remaining 80%, with the other 15% provided rent and interest free by Taylor Wimpey for up to ten years, at which point you’ll repay 15% of your home’s current market value.

Part exchange could be an option for those struggling to sell their current home. Under the scheme Taylor Wimpey will buy your current home at an agreed price so you have no estate agents fees and no hassle.

Dickens Place is situated on the edge of the New Forest National Park, making it the perfect location for anyone with a passion for walking or cycling. For everyday amenities Totton town centre is just a short drive or bus ride away and there is a range of supermarkets close to the development. West Quay Shopping Centre, just six miles away in the vibrant city centre of Southampton, offers all of the high street shops and more.

The M27 is within easy reach for access to Southampton and Portsmouth and the mainline train station is just two miles from Dickens Place, offering services to Southampton, London Waterloo, Bournemouth and Poole.

There is currently a selection of two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes remaining for sale, with prices starting from just £159,995 for a two bedroom apartment and from £209,995 for a three bedroom home. For further information visit the marketing suite open Monday from 2pm to 5pm, Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm and Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, or log onto taylorwimpey.co.uk.
