Yorkshire Building Society cash ISA available via telephone
There's been no better time to get on the blower and apply for your new cash ISA as two of Yorkshire Building Society's tax-free savings accounts will tomorrow be available through its telephone service.
From Thursday 25th February savers will be able to apply for the Society's Three-Year Fixed Rate ISA, currently paying 3.25% gross/AER, or its Monthly Reward ISA, currently paying 2.25% Gross/AER over the telephone.
Both accounts are available to new and existing customers and can be opened with as little as £10 for the Monthly Reward ISA - Yorkshire's instant access cash ISA - and £100 for the Fixed Rate ISA. Full details of both accounts are shown in the attached appendices.
Savers can choose to transfer existing tax-free savings from another provider without losing their tax-free status and a monthly interest option is available for those who rely on an income from their savings.
The Society's telephone facility was launched in September and has been welcomed by over 3,000 members. Savers can apply for their new ISA over the telephone, where personal identification can be verified electronically in most cases. They will receive their pre-populated application pack within two working days to sign and return to complete their account opening process.
Ancel Gornall, Contact Centre Sales Manager at the Yorkshire said: "We have streamlined our ISA application process to make it as hassle-free as we can for savers. Our telephone facility increases accessibility to our products and will be particularly handy for our customers coming up to ISA season."
