Mayor of Winchester launches Barratt's Highcroft development

Barratt’s stunning new Winchester development, Highcroft, was officially opened this week by the Mayor of Winchester.
Cllr Dominic Hiscock was shown the development plans and show home before performing the official ribbon cutting.
Barratt managing director Ian Wallace said: “We are very grateful Cllr Hiscock took the time to come and officially open Highcroft, interest has been very high since we announced plans for the development and sales have reflected this since its launch.”
Having sold one home a week since its launch, current availability includes one and two-bedroom homes in the Kings Lodge apartment block and three-bedroom houses in the Jacob and Tudor designs for people wanting larger properties. Prices start at £177,995 for one bedroom apartments and from £240,995 for two bedroom homes.
Highcroft enjoys an excellent location in a leafy and sought-after area in the west of Winchester. The development lies close to wooded countryside but there are numerous amenities and leisure facilities close by, including bars, restaurants and the city’s train station.
The development is perfect for commuters, with a direct service to London Waterloo in just 58 minutes. The M3 and M27 offer excellent transport links to Basingstoke, Southampton, the New Forest and Dorset.
Winchester nestles on the edge of the South Downs and is surrounded by open countryside. Quaint shopping streets, a magnificent 11th century cathedral, Winchester College and the Great Hall housing King Arthur's Round Table all blend to create an inspirational city packed with history.
