First-time investor puts money into Portsmouth property
As interest rates remain low, increasing numbers of people are venturing into property investment for the first time, as they decide that putting their money into property is a better long-term bet than leaving it in a bank account.

Stella comments: “Having become increasingly frustrated with the low interest rate from the bank, I had been thinking about investing my money in property for a while, but I was quite nervous as it’s such a big commitment as a first-time investor. In the end I decided on a spacious one bedroom apartment which will be perfect for me to use when I come down to visit my son. The apartment has a parking space which is a real bonus and it feels really secure as part of the development which is reassuring for me as it’s my first investment property.
“The whole buying process was made really easy and was far less daunting than if I’d bought through auction as I had originally planned. Portsmouth is an up-and-coming town, with lots going on, so I’m confident that I have made a sound investment for the future and that I am better off buying property than having my money in the bank.”
