Head to Paris for a free night at the museum
The annual Nuit des Musées takes place in France – and across Europe – on 15 May 2010 when a large number of museums open their doors to the public free of charge between 7pm and 1am.
In addition to seeing the museums under moonlight, there are also concerts, competitions and exhibitions and in Paris, for example, museums participating include the Louvre, Georges Pompidou Centre and the Museum of the Army.
For those who’d like to visit and take advantage of free entry to Parisian museums, city break specialist, Cities Direct is highlighting short breaks to the city which are available at this time.
A three-night break, for example, at the two-star Kyriad Italie Gobelins – situated near the Place d’Italie – costs from £239 per person, based on two sharing, inclusive of return Luton flights and accommodation with breakfast as well as airport taxes and one piece of checked luggage.
Extra nights and hotel upgrades are available at a supplement.
