David Wilson sponsors 'Guide Dog for the Blind' puppy
Generous staff at David Wilson Homes South West have raised an impressive £5,000 to sponsor a Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy.
Fundraising started last summer with initiatives ranging from dinner parties to cake sales and a charity raffle and auction with donations from staff, customers and suppliers.
The £5,000 was presented to the Guide Dogs for the Blind at the final fundraising event, a black tie ball to Heather Muncey and Joan Bowering, along with guide dogs Matty and Zara.
“We are delighted to have been able to raise enough to sponsor a puppy,’’ said David Wilson Homes managing director Kelvin Tutill. “Everybody has been incredibly supportive of this and we have reached our target much faster than expected. Events have been held at our head office in Bristol and also at our developments throughout the region."
Staff now have the honour of naming the new puppy, which has yet to be born, but will be a golden retriever – the David Wilson Homes logo.
