National quality award for David Wilson Homes

14th July 2011 Print

Three site managers in the David Wilson Homes’ Bristol region have been named as quality award winners in the NHBC’s ‘Pride in the Job’ competition, the most prestigious industry award.

Lee Thomas who works at Langford Mead in Taunton , Matt Cayless from Teignfields in Chudleigh and Scott Haskin working at Hollinsworth Park in Creech St Michael have all been honoured this year.

NHBC’s ‘Pride in the Job’ is the only national competition to focus on a site manager’s contribution to the production of high quality new homes. They are assessed across 38 aspects of site management – including technical knowledge, consistency in the building process and leadership and organisational skills.

“These awards reflect the hard work carried out by all those involved at both sites,” said Kelvin Tutill, managing director of David Wilson Homes South West. “Lee, Matt and Scott should be rightly proud of their achievements. Buyers expect extremely high quality throughout every one of our homes – and our site managers work to ensure this is always the case.”

As winners of the quality award, the three now have the chance of being nominated for the NHBC regional and Seal of Excellence awards. The regional winners will be announced in the autumn.
