Easter by the Thames

The Easter holidays will soon be here and Richmond-upon-Thames awakens to welcome another season, a perfect time for visiting neighbouring attractions such as Kew Gardens, London Wetland Centre or Hampton Court Palace.

The award-winning Bingham, nestling on the riverside has a ‘three nights for the price of two’ Easter offer for accommodation and a special Easter Sunday lunch menu devised by Shay Cooper, head chef of its Michelin-starred restaurant.

The Easter Sunday menu includes for starters: hand dived scallops, served with caramelized cauliflower purée with raisin and cep relish and samphire; Red Mullet Fillet with escabeche vegetables, baby squid, saffron and orange dressing or Glazed Pork Belly served with seared foie gras, spiced plum compote, pickled radish salad. Main course choices which include Salt Marsh Spring Lamb, with black olive purée, courgette flowers, pea and ricotta tortellini, lemon vinaigrette and Organic Corn Fed Chicken with creamed chanterelles, chicken and sweet corn boudin and truffle butter sauce are followed by a selection of Shay’s legendary desserts and a selection of British and French cheeses.

The Bingham Bar is open for drinks and light snacks over the holiday weekend and its balcony, weather permitting, offers the ideal spot for a pre lunch drink or afternoon tea, with its panoramic views of the Bingham’s landscaped gardens, Richmond Bridge and the river.

The accommodation offer runs over the holiday period (Monday 29 March through to Monday 12 April inclusive). For further information and the Easter Sunday lunch menu visit: thebingham.co.uk
