Final HomeBuy Direct properties released at Birkacre Park

Kay Halls, Sales Manager at national house-builder Miller Homes has announced the last chance to purchase a new home in its HomeBuy Direct allocation at its flagship development, Birkacre Park in Chorley.
Homebuyers will need to act quickly to secure one of the last 3-4 bed, 2 en-suite HBD family homes, from as little as £150,815 payable now. The balance is funded under the HomeBuy Direct scheme for up to 25 years or when the property is sold.
Kay Halls said: “Homebuy Direct offers a lifeline to buyers so they can move now, whilst interest rates are the lowest for years and there is still good value to be found in new homes, in a rising market.”
HBD is designed to help people purchase a new home in current, difficult mortgage market. Households with an income of £60,000 a year or less, first time buyers, key workers and families in need of more space will be considered for the scheme. Those qualifying for HBD receive an equity loan of up to 30% of the value of the property. This opens up the mortgage market to HBD home-buyers because they only need a minimum of a 70% mortgage. Further benefits of HBD are that you own 100% of the property from day one and that the equity loan is interest free for the first five years. After then it is capped in line with the Retail Price Index.
There is currently a choice of two house designs, the ‘Westminster’ or ‘Winchester’. Both properties are three storeys and offer 3 to 4 bedrooms and 2 en-suites.
The ‘Westminster’ boasts many attractive features. The ground floor has a very flexible, light-filled open plan kitchen, family room and dining area with French doors. To escape the hustle and bustle, the first floor lounge makes the ideal retreat. The fourth bedroom is also on this floor, but this could easily be converted to a study or playroom if preferred.
With windows on three sides, the last HBD Winchester has a light ambiance, on all of its three floors. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite, enabling buyers to create a welcoming guest suite.
The ‘Westminster’ is priced at £215,450 [or £150,815 payable now using HBD]. The last ‘Winchester’ is available for £215,450 (or £150,815 payable now with HBD).
