New homes at Cowbridge Mill

Redrow’s Charlton house type has been chosen as the new show home and opens this weekend (17th April).

Join Redrow at Cowbridge Mill, in Malmesbury, this weekend (Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April) and see a brand new show home that’s as beautiful inside as the views surrounding it.

The four-bedroom ‘Charlton’ show home has been dressed to impress by interior design company Show Business and features a colour palette of cream, soft green and warm caramel tones.

The look is ‘country casual’, mixing classic tweeds with country florals, and has been designed with one eye on the significant number of downsizers who have chosen to make Cowbridge Mill their home.

Hayley Zaple, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), says: “We’ve found that Cowbridge Mill has appealed to a mix of people but, among them, quite a few older couples and downsizers whose children have flown the nest.

“Our new show home is styled with them in mind, featuring a pretty and feminine twin bedroom for when the grandchildren come to stay and with another of the four bedrooms dressed as an arts and crafts room for someone with the luxury of time to enjoy their hobby.

“The whole of the top floor is given over to a sumptuous master suite with walk-out balcony overlooking the river, fitted wardrobes and en-suite shower room.”

The interior designers have made the most of the show home’s views of the River Avon and surrounding countryside, using colours, lighting and accessories that help bring the outside in.

The latest phase at Cowbridge Mill features two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom homes. Current prices are from £151,995 for a two-bedroom ‘Draycott’ apartment with en-suite to master bedroom and an open plan kitchen, living and dining area, to £332,995 for a delightfully spacious four-bedroom ‘Charlton’, similar to the show home.

All homes feature Redrow’s latest interior specification, which includes contemporary kitchens with floor to ceiling units and top brand name appliances, plus bathrooms which are sleek, modern and pleasing to the eye.

Hayley adds: “Because the homes are brand new, they’re easy to maintain with no need for costly or time consuming repairs or renovations. They’re also built to modern energy efficiency standards making them potentially cheaper to run than an older second hand property. These are factors which definitely appeal to the downsizing market who want to enjoy their new-found leisure time, not spend it on decorating and DIY.”

The historic town of Malmesbury, with its 12th century Abbey, is about halfway between the city of Bath and Cirencester, capital of the Cotswolds. The everyday needs of residents are catered for with a range of boutique shops, cafes, restaurants and other amenities. Close to the M4, it offers easy access to Swindon and Bath.

Join Redrow for the opening of its new ‘Charlton’ show home when light refreshments will be served and Redrow’s experienced sales consultants will be on hand to answer queries.
