Spil Games tops UK online gaming market
Spil Games, the worldwide leader in online gaming websites (according to comScore Media Metrix), has announced that, with almost 3 million unique visitors to its UK sites in February 2010, it has reached, for the first time ever, the coveted number one position in the UK online gaming market with a 16.2% share.
“We’re grateful to all of our UK gamers for helping us reach this amazing milestone,” said James Males, the Managing Director of SPIL GAMES UK. “We’re proud that our gaming sites such as GirlsGoGames.co.uk and Agame.com have become a centre for online gaming in the UK, proving that our deep understanding of the needs and tastes of our different audiences are helping us reach more gamers every day.”
In February 2010, more than 1 million young girls (a 95% increase in traffic year over year) could be found playing the likes of Super Mom or Slumber Party on SPIL GAMES’ newly redesigned UK website for girls (girlsgogames.co.uk). Another 1.3 million tweens visited Agame.com during the same month. With this landmark reached, SPIL GAMES is now concentrating on further enriching its UK game sites, moving toward providing more multiplayer, social gaming and social-networking features to enable our visitors to bond with other players online, play with (or against) friends, proudly post their high scores, discuss the games with other players, and more.
