LG expands its basket of hot new cookies
LG Electronics (LG) brings more fun and creativity to its touchscreen phones with two new devices -- LG Cookie Plus (LG GS500) and LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290) -- boosting its popular Cookie Series.
Following their predecessor, the LG Cookie, which sold over 13 million units worldwide, the new phones offer an exciting full touchscreen experience with social networks, mobile applications and advanced graphics.
With smart social network service (SNS) connectivity and other unique features such as LiveSquare, the LG Cookie Series allows users to keep in touch with online friends more easily by offering a visually dynamic, interactive experience.
What’s more, the LG Cookie Series boosts the fun, cartoon-styled UI with colourful theme options and supports downloadable applications including The New York Times, eBay Search, Amazon Search and Fox News for a more enjoyable user experience.
“LG Cookie Series reflects our effort to bring creativity and fun to the mobile touch-phone experience,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG Cookie Plus and LG Cookie Fresh offer various features to suit different tastes while maintaining the core features of the original LG Cookie phone.”
LG Cookie Plus (LG GS500) is a 3G handset suited for an efficient but friendly networking experience. It supports downloading and running applications, real-time push e-mail and web browsing.
For those craving a new look, the LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290) boasts a distinctive design with a splash of imagination and personality. This handset still offers the features found in the original Cookie but comes in a sleek and smooth package with a soft outer grip and is available in 16 bold colour variations.
Both models will be available this month, with the LG Cookie Plus (LG GS500) available worldwide this month after making its debut in France and Italy and the LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290) available in over 60 countries following its introduction in Germany and Russia. Prices will be announced separately in each market.
