WorldHotels welcomes first hotel in Helsinki city centre

Global hotel group WorldHotels will gain its first property in Helsinki city centre with the opening of Hotel Fabian in August.

Ideally located centrally close to Market Square, Esplanade Park and Kaivopuisto Park, the four-star property will provide an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers to the Finnish capital.

Hotel Fabian’s speciality will be loft-style rooms, with large windows providing panoramic views over the city. In additional, eight of the total of 58 rooms will offer ‘extended stay’ accommodation, fitted with their own kitchenettes.

Hotel Fabian is being developed by Royal Restaurants, a Finnish organisation operating 27 restaurants in 21 locations, in addition to hotels.

“We selected Hotel Fabian as our partner in Helsinki because the developer has strong experience in the industry, as well as a desire to develop the city’s accommodation services to suit both domestic and international visitors,” said Mark Jones, WorldHotels’ Director Hotel Development for Northern Europe.

“Hotel Fabian’s unique character and the high standard of rooms in terms of furnishings and interior decoration will help create unforgettable experiences for guests,” he added.

Kasperi Saari, Managing Director of Royal Restaurants added: “Hotel Fabian’s unique service profile combined with the modern décor that has been applied to the building’s original functionalist style will create a truly unique identity for the hotel. The slogan of WorldHotels, Unique Hotels for Unique People, perfectly describes the atmosphere we are aiming for.”

Hotel Fabian is the second hotel of the group in Finland after the Airport Hotel Bonus Inn in Vantaa, Helsinki Airport.
