Westfield has signed a host of new cafes and restaurants for Westfield London including Jamie’s Italian, Mandaloun, Royal China, Café Isola Bella, Zaza and Shawa. Caffé Concerto and Searcy’s are also expanding their presence within the centre, following an unprecedented first year of trading.

The signings complete the dining offer at Westfield London and round off the leisure and lifestyle mix, as well as adding value to the London shopping experience the centre provides.

Michael Gutman, Westfield’s Managing Director UK/Europe, said: “This diverse mix of restaurants represents the extensive range of food, retail and leisure we have at Westfield London which has been further boosted by the recent opening of the state of the art Vue cinema. The cinema has exceeded all expectations and, together with these new signings and the extensive range of events and activities within the centre, completes Westfield London’s evening offer.”

The Southern Terrace dining street is now 100% let following these latest signings and the recent openings of food-led pub The Bull, Malaysian offering Jom Makan and French restaurant LPDJ.

Caffe Concerto is opening a full line restaurant to complement its existing offer within the centre. The new restaurant, featuring an exclusive piano bar with live jazz, is located in the upper level of The Village.

This coincides with the extension of Searcy’s Champagne Bar on the lower level of The Village, after the bar has exceeded expectations since opening at centre launch in 2008.

Jamie’s Italian, Mandaloun and Royal China are opening on the Southern Terrace – the centre’s external dining street.

Jamie’s Italian will be the fourteenth restaurant in the group which has locations throughout the UK and will be the third in London.

Simon Blagden, Managing Director of Jamie’s Italian, said: “Westfield London has proven itself to be one of the most successful retail centres in Europe over the last year, so it’s a natural fit for Jamie’s Italian and we can’t wait to open.”

Mandaloun Westfield is the fourth instalment of one of the most vibrant “nouvelle vague” of Lebanese restaurants. With locations in Chelsea, Fulham and in the USA, the group is redefining Mediterranean dining.

Zack Barakat, managing director of the group, said: “Mandaloun is the epitome of new Mediterranean cuisine. We combine the freshest ingredients to create original and healthy dishes that have their roots in Lebanese cuisine. Westfield is a destination experience where people go not only to shop but to experiment various culinary and cultural delights. Mandaloun aims to deliver a similar feast. Our Westfield restaurant will be our flagship venue, where customers can expect to be taken on a journey of senses and succulent delicacies. Our design is crisp and innovative, while comfortable and accommodating for any occasions. From lounging to shawarma grill and fine dining, we cater for the most demanding and discerning crowds.”

Royal China will be opening its first venture within a shopping centre at Westfield London.

Lawrence Cheng of Royal China said: “Westfield is our first shopping centre venture in the UK and we aim to guide our approach with a slight twist to what most would regard as a typical Royal China restaurant. Whilst we maintain to satisfy our customers in terms of meeting their expectations in quality dim sum as well as authentic Chinese cuisines, we enhance Royal China Westfield with our Four Seasons BBQ specials. Top quality food is what we hope to offer to our customers and our menu makes available as wide a range of popular choices as possible. I look forward to opening a Royal China with a Four Seasons BBQ twist and seeing people enjoy their dining in Royal China Four Seasons.”

Finally, Israeli chef Leor Nissim is opening Café Isola Bella – the centre’s first fully kosher restaurant. This latest venture will be the flagship venue in a chain of specialist boutique restaurants which already comprises three well established restaurants in North West London. World renowned architects and designers have collaborated to create a stunning new bar, café and restaurant which will be located within the Village, overlooking the Southern Terrace.

Leor Nissim said: “Café Isola Bella Westfield will be very special. The interior has been designed by one of the most talented design teams in Israel, and their attention to detail has helped to ensure this restaurant will be the ideal daytime haven for shopaholics, their friends and children, and a great leisure venue late into the evening. It’s not only the décor that will be special though, the food will be of the very highest order too.

“I fully expect Café Isola Bella Westfield to establish a reputation as the finest luxury kosher dining experience, unrivalled for quality or value anywhere in Europe.”

Zaza and Shawa are also opening new units within the main centre. All of the new restaurants will be opening between now and the summer.
