Multipart and Dennis Eagle extend parts distribution contract

“A real partnership that will underpin our continuing growth,” is how Dennis Eagle Chief Executive Mike Molesworth described the arrangement with logistics specialist Multipart when renewing their parts distribution contract for a further seven years.
“Our position as the dominant supplier of RCV’s in the UK has been achieved through setting industry-leading standards in the design and quality of our vehicles and in providing after-sales support that has become the benchmark in the industry,” he said.
“Our products are high value capital assets and it’s essential to our customers, whether local councils under budgetary pressures or private waste contractors seeking to optimise their revenue-earning potential, that we provide fast and efficient parts support to keep their vehicles on the road and in tip-top condition.
“Multipart has consistently delivered on its commitment to us and this in turn has reinforced the commitment that we make to our customers, This new contract ensures the continuation of that world-class level of support and it enables both companies to move forward together into new markets with an added degree of confidence.”
Chris Gateley, Managing Director of Multipart said: “I am delighted that Dennis Eagle has renewed the contract until 2017. This cements a relationship that first began in 2002 and since then we have worked very closely with them to develop what is now acknowledged to be the best parts support service in their industry sector. This has undoubtedly assisted Dennis Eagle to become the recognised market leader in RCVs in the UK, supplying many local authorities and most of the private sector operators.”
Multipart’s own ambitious plans are to double its turnover within three years and establish itself as a significant European logistics player under the new ownership of the TVS Logistics Group.
“Multipart is no ordinary logistics company,” says Chris Gateley. “Not only do we deliver class-leading parts storage and distribution services to clients operating in many different sectors and in markets around the world, but our tie-up with TVS has brought with it some important new capabilities.
“We now have ready access to high quality components from low cost countries and new skills in providing vehicle manufacturers with line-feed services. These will all contribute to improving the efficiency and cost-competitiveness of our existing UK clients and to other manufacturing companies in all industry sectors.
“Our substantial in-house systems capability also enables us to offer a range of tailor-made systems support packages, including electronic parts cataloguing, mobile resource management and inventory management.”
