Kym Marsh and Ricky Whittle join celebrity line up at Truckfest

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle Conner in Britain’s biggest soap, and Hollyoaks hunk Ricky Whittle join the celebrity line up at Truckfest when it returns to the East of England Showground, Peterborough, on Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd May.
Former singer Kym, who will appear on Sunday, joined Corrie in 2006 and has won a string of awards for her performance as the unlucky in love sister of the factory owning family including Best Newcomer, Best TV Soap Personality, Best Dressed Soap Star and Bounty Celebrity Mum of the Year. Kym first came into the spotlight as a member of Hearsay and recently took park in another singing competition on the ITV show ‘Popstar to Opera Star.
Ricky Whittle is best known as troubled Calvin Valentine in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks and as a finalist in the recent series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Ricky, a former law graduate, found fame as a model before embarking on an acting career. Ricky will appear at Truckfest on Bank Holiday Monday and be signing autographs and posing for photos with fans.
The soap stars will be joined by Ice Road Truckers star Alex Debogorski who will appear on Sunday and Monday to sign autographs, present awards and meet fans throughout the two-day event. Alex is a true ice road veteran as he has been driving his truck on the treacherous ice roads for 26 years, and with 11 children, who could blame him!
The lovely Sally ‘Traffic’ Boazman from BBC Radio 2 returns to Truckfest. Sally has developed a legion of fans over the past ten years who tune into her travel reports on Radio 2 and regular chats with Chris Evans, Steve Wright and Jeremy Vine.
Other celebs appearing will be of the wheeled variety as Monster Truck Big Foot celebrates its 35th anniversary with a very special guest flying in from the USA to help Truckfest celebrate the birthday of the Worlds original monster truck. Also appearing will be Britain’s number one military display team, The Flying Gunners. Formed in 1949, the Flying Gunners have gone on to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of people at events all over the country.
Truckfest is open from 9am until 5.30pm. Day Tickets are available £14.50 for adults in advance and £16.50 on the day. Children’s tickets are just £6.50 in advance or £8.50 on the day.
