Travelmood Adventures offers volcano-inspired tours
Tour operator and retailer, Travelmood Adventures is anticipating a spike in enquiries and bookings for its volcano-inspired tours, following the Icelandic ash cloud chaos.
The travel company has briefed its team of expert Travel Advisors to brush up on their volcanic knowledge and to keep the volcano-themed tours on offer, such as Surf & Volcanoes”, “Sicilian Volcanoes” and the “Volcano Trail”, at the forefront of their minds, ahead of an expected increase in customer enquiries.
“An interesting by-product of the recent travel chaos caused by the eruption of Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull volcano is the renewed fascination with volcanoes that it has sparked,” says Valerie Hibbert, Commercial Manager of Travelmood Adventures.
“The story has been dominating the news and the topic of volcanoes has been well and truly brought to the fore.
“Over the past week or so we have been helping customers whose holidays have been affected by the airport closures to re-schedule their holidays and to get them home, if they were abroad with us. Many of them have been asking about tours we offer that involve learning more about volcanoes, having been inspired by the spectacular volcanic images in the media.”
Travelmood Adventures’ volcano-inspired tours span Indonesia, South America, Hawaii, New Zealand and Sicily. The tour operator and retailer anticipates that once the dust has settled, following the travel chaos caused by the Icelandic volcano, these tours will be more popular than ever.
