Culture rich mini breaks in Paris

If you are seeking a culture-rich mini-break with a difference why not pop over to Paris on Saturday 15th May for ‘La Nuit Européenne des Musées’* and stay at trendsetting art hotel, Hotel Square (hotelsquare.com).

For one night only many of the city’s museums, including the Pompidou Centre and the Museé d’Orsay, will open their doors free of charge from 7pm and throughout the night in a celebration of European culture. Visitors can then continue their evening with a stay at 5 star Hotel Square enjoying savings of up to €170 a night.

The annual event set up by the French Ministry of Culture and Communications is now in its 5th year and aims to encourage people to unite in unique spaces and see art differently. Meanwhile exclusive art hotel Hotel Square provides the perfect accommodation to complement the trip. Located a stone’s throw from many of Paris’ museums, strong art influences are maintained throughout the boutique hotel culminating in 18m of exhibition space in the main lobby featuring works by Pierre Celice (pierre-celice.com).

What’s more Hotel Square is offering a special room rate of €260 per room per night – a saving of €170 based on two sharing a Square Room with continental breakfast. The special offer is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

Return Eurostar train fares from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord International start from £144 per person - visit eurostar.com to book.

* More than 2,500 museums across Europe take part in ‘La Nuit Européenne des Musées’ - for more information see nuitdesmusees.culture.fr
