Chorley buyers can picture themselves at home at Redrow’s Sandhurst Gardens venture with the opening of not one but two new show homes.

Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Homes from our New Heritage Collection have been on sale at Sandhurst Gardens since January but, until now, customers have had to visit our Buckshaw Village development or rely on floor plans and images to appreciate what the properties will be like.

“At Redrow we understand that buying a new home is a big decision and that our customers want the opportunity to look around a property to get a feel of what it would be like as their own home - that’s why we’re opening the doors to two professionally designed and decorated, fully furnished show homes this weekend ( May 8, 2010).”

Located off Pilling Lane, Sandhurst Gardens is set to feature 200 homes in total on 25 acres of land formerly owned by Lex Autologistics. The first phase offers a mix of three and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, with prices starting from £151,950.

Devised in response to customer feedback, the New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product that combines traditional exteriors with contemporary interiors. The show homes showcase all that the four-bedroom ‘Shrewsbury’ and ‘York’ designs have to offer.

“The New Heritage Collection offers style and character in equal measure and the ‘Shrewsbury’ is a prime example of this,” Christine commented. “It’s a substantial family home with a smart design to maximise the potential of the space available and provide ample accommodation for family living.

“Designed over three floors, the ‘York’ takes luxurious living to new heights, with an impressive master bedroom suite in the converted roof space.”

Externally, the homes are influenced by the styles, colours, shapes and textures of the Arts and Crafts movement with features including dropped eaves, projecting plinths, bay windows, timber or tiled canopies and feature larch lap boarding. Inside, however, they are completely modern with open plan convivial living spaces, fashionable kitchens with floor to ceiling units and central islands and contemporary bathrooms with quality fixtures and fittings.

“Buying a home from the New Heritage Collection means you can enjoy the charm of an older property but without the drawbacks – they’re properties people really want to live in,” Christine added.

Chorley town centre is just half a mile away from Sandhurst Gardens, which enjoys a good choice of schools, shops and services within easy walking distance.
