Kingston Mills creates a stir in Wiltshire

5th May 2010 Print

Linden Homes Western launched its much anticipated Kingston Mills development in Bradford on Avon to an eager crowd. Some estimates put the numbers at as many as 600 who passed through the library doors to get their first glimpse of the plans.

The library provided a perfect venue with its panoramic windows ensuring a wide angle view of the whole development.

The site, which has been derelict for 18 years, is an important landmark development in the heart of Bradford on Avon. Linden revealed a scheme that will eventually provide new office space, cafes, restaurants, a convenience store, and 170 new homes. 30% of the homes built will be for rent or part ownership – a great boost for an area where opportunities for affordable homes have been scarce up until now. There will be a variety of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes some of which will be on the riverside and some will be in the re-furbished historic buildings.

Nigel Palmer, Managing Director at Linden Homes, commented:

“There was huge interest and it was difficult to keep pace with all the enquiries. Despite that we even managed to reserve two homes on the day so we are delighted with the response.”

Justin Davies of Davies & Davies thinks Kingston Mills presents a unique opportunity.

“This really is a unique opportunity to live in the town centre with all the shops and amenities within walking distance. We think demand will continue to be high for such a prime riverside location and are urging people to register their interest now. It’s rare to get the chance of such a good investment; the off plan prices represent excellent value for money.”

Prices start at about £145,000 for an apartment and £380,000 for a four bedroom home. If you are one of those who dreams of living in the centre of Bradford on Avon and want the pick of the plots, visit lindenhomes.co.uk.
