New residents at Number 10

The Kenyons - new to No10

There’s a new man at Number 10. Roger Kenyon has moved in to number 10, plot 10 at Miller Homes’ Whittle-le-Park development in the Buckshaw Village, Chorley. Roger and his family moved to their new home the day after the country went to the poles to determine who would be residing at Number 10 Downing Street.

Roger, Betty, Steven and Frances Kenyon have moved to Chorley from Walton On The Hill, near Epsom in Surrey and, just like Camerons are unpacking boxes and making number 10 feel like home. Like Number 10 Downing Street, the Kenyon’s new home is a commanding, spacious residence. They have chosen a ‘Scott’ house style, which offers flexible living space that the family can adapt to their needs.

Just like its Downing Street counterpart, the ‘Scott’ has plenty of space for entertaining. The ground floor is home to a large kitchen breakfast room, which has easy access to the garden via French doors. There is a formal drawing room and a study, which can also be used as a family room. This light, bright space can also be used as a room for hobbies or an intimate space for formal dining.

The first floor of the ‘Scott’ houses an impressive lounge. With a bay window to the side and French windows to the front, this space can be made into an elegant space for unwinding. The ‘Scott’s master bedroom is sure to appeal, as it has an archway from the bedroom to a separate dressing room. Beyond the dressing area is an en-suite bathroom, making this whole space feel like a relaxing retreat. Four bedrooms and a family bathroom can be found on the top floor, giving plenty of space for family and visitors staying over.

With its wide use of sustainable building techniques, and a social infrastructure designed for cycle paths and pubic transport routes, Buckshaw Village has excellent environmental credentials. These are combined with convenience, as the development includes a village-like shopping centre. Between the M6 and M61, Whittle-le-Park is ideally situated for travelling throughout the North West.
