Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has just launched The Paddocks, an exclusive new development of just two new homes that lie within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Buckinghamshire.

Located in the leafy village of Widmer End, close to rolling countryside and just three miles from High Wycombe town centre, the inspirational setting is matched by the quality and style of the four-bedroom properties under construction.

The detached double-fronted homes, each priced at £800,000, will each benefit from a pleasing layout, making the most of views across the large rear gardens, which, in turn, are bordered by mature trees and boundary hedges. There is also an additional option to purchase an acre of land at the rear of the property.

Beyond the development area is agricultural land, making this a truly idyllic, rural retreat, while the two homes will be set back from North Road, along a bounded gravel access drive which also leads to a turning area and double garage for each new property.

The two new homes will each boast a magnificent kitchen with light and airy open-plan conservatory-style dining area, a beautiful drawing room with bay window to the front and French doors opening to the garden, plus a relaxed family room and a study.

Upstairs, the en-suite master bedroom benefits from a dressing area, the second bedroom also has en-suite facilities, while double bedrooms three and four are served by a main bathroom.

Both property designs at The Paddocks brim with character, drawing on the architectural styles of traditional homes in the Chiltern Hills, and sitting beautifully alongside existing buildings in Widmer End, including its church, friendly pub, primary school, shops, village hall and recreation ground.

Community spirit is in abundance, with local cricket and lawn tennis clubs, a regular quiz night and live music, plus annual events including a village fete.

Widmer End may seem a world away from urban life, but it is only three miles north of High Wycombe town centre’s wealth of high street and independent shops, bars, restaurants, entertainment and leisure facilities including a theatre, a multi-screen cinema and a bowling alley.

Excellent road links to the M40, M25 and the A404 are within easy reach, and High Wycombe railway station is just two-and-a-half miles away, providing regular services to London Marylebone in less than 40 minutes.
