Ford Model T nostalgia in the New Forest
The Balmer Lawn country house hotel in the New Forest is to play host to an exciting and nostalgic Ford Model T celebration rally from 10-13 June 2010.
Celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, the club was started at the instigation of Lord Montague, who was also the founder of the famous National Motor Museum at Beaulieu (also in the New Forest).
The full programme is as follows:
Friday 10 June: Morning drive to Hillier Gardens for lunch, returning to the Balmer Lawn Hotel in the afternoon.
Saturday 11 June: Morning drive to Braemore House for lunch, returning to the Balmer Lawn Hotel in the afternoon.
Gala Dinner on Saturday Evening at the Balmer Lawn Hotel, at which Lord Montague will be guest speaker and to which a senior manager from the Ford Motor Company has been invited.
Sunday 12 June: Morning drive to Beaulieu Motor Museum with the Ford Model Ts dispersing after lunch.
It is anticipated that each morning’s event will start at 9.30am, with lunch stops at Hillier Gardens and Braemore House of between two and three hours. The cars are expected to return to the Balmer Lawn at approximately 4.30-5.00pm.
