Safety check and AA cover for older Saab cars

6th March 2007 Print
Owners of older Saab models no longer covered by the manufacturer’s warranty can take advantage of a comprehensive safety check on all mechanical and electrical functions at Saab dealers throughout the country.

The special offer is available to owners of Saabs three years old and over until the end of April 2007. For just £32, inclusive of one year’s AA Roadside Assistance, technicians at Saab dealers will carry out a visual inspection of all the main functions of your car and provide you with a written report on their findings.

As well as safety-critical components such as brakes, hubs, steering and tyres, the inspection covers electrics, lights and wipers/washers, clutch and transmission operation, lubricant fluid levels and checks for leaks, battery condition and checks on suspension, exhaust, drive shafts and seatbelts.

A no-obligation report on the technicians’ recommendations will be supported by a fixed price quote should any faults be found during the inspection. If you already have breakdown cover, you can defer the commencement date of the AA Roadside Assistance included in the Saab offer for up to 12 months.

“Our British weather and road conditions at this time of year can be unforgiving, even on cars designed with safety and reliability in mind,” says Sarah Kenworthy, after sales director of Saab Great Britain.

“In just 10 days the AA attended over 180,000 breakdowns, but the vast majority were due to minor faults, most of which would have been avoidable with a basic inspection of the vehicle,” she adds. “We believe our offer will help many owners to keep their cars in a safe and roadworthy condition.”
