Win a state-of-the art Yamaha WR250R

1st June 2010 Print
Barry Briggs

When 4 times World Speedway Champion Barry Briggs was planning his epic Sport Relief ride from John O' Groats to the UK Speedway Grand Prix at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on 10thJuly, the choice of bike was simple – the Yamaha WR250R. Barry's planned route to Cardiff will take in many green lanes as well as tarmac roads. This varied terrain plus the numerous parade laps on the shale at the tracks he is visiting en-route is, of course, meat and two veg to this lightweight, race bred trail bike!

And now, thanks to the generosity of Yamaha Motor UK, one lucky winner will be presented with Barry's bike (worth £6,200) at the end of the tour!

Barry's target is to raise £120,000 to help permanently injured speedway riders and with an innovative approach to fund raising, he has issued 200 'Ride Share Certificates' each of which can be secured with a £100 donation to the fund.

In return for this much appreciated support, shareholders will participate in a draw each week of June where the prize is 2 tickets to the Cardiff GP -with one shareholder winning Barry's WR250R when the tour ends! Early supporters will have the best chance of the event tickets with everyone in with a great shout of winning the bike! With the tour already in full swing, you can follow Barry's progress by clicking on briggo.net where you will also find full details of the share offer and how to get one!
