Young European Truck Driver

As the world's premier commercial vehicle driving competition, Young European Truck Driver has been designed by Scania to encourage and promote the highest standards of driving and road safety.  As such, the scheme enjoys the endorsement and backing of the European Union.  Running for a fourth time in 2010, young commercial vehicle drivers (born 1975 or later) from a total of 24 European countries will compete in national events to select their own Young Driver of the Year.  The 24 winners will then come together at the home of Scania in Sweden over the weekend of 4/5 October to compete for the title of Young European Truck Driver of the Year, the prize for which is a brand new Scania R-series truck valued at 100,000 Euros.
