A new event in the 2010 Beaulieu calendar Motorcycle Muster Ride-in-Day on Sunday 27th June lived up to its promise to be a great day out for bikers, with over 2,000 enthusiasts pouring into the grounds of the National Motor Museum.  The main feature of the Muster day was a public ride-in with over 1400 bikes taking part, some having travelled from as far afield as South Wales and the Midlands.

Beaulieu’s Events Manager Judith Maddox said: ”The new ‘Muster’ event continues Beaulieu’s long established association with motorcycles and motorcycling events and has being staged in direct response to visitor feedback.  We know that bikers like to have fun and show off their bikes and this event offers an opportunity to be part of the display and enjoy all of the Beaulieu attraction at the same time.”

There were a number of trade stands selling all manner of biking accessories, parts, gear and clothing with some real bargains to be had.

In the Beaulieu Arena the crowds enjoyed professional stunt displays from three times British Solo Trials Champion, Steve ‘Showtime’ Colley and in the parkland, the Extreme Globe Riders performed skilful and fearless rides, reaching over 5G as two bikes crossed each other at speeds of over 70 kph - in a metal cage!.

Visitors were invited to vote for the People’s Choice Best Bike Award and this went to Danny Osbourne, from Woolston, with his Kawasaki ZXR 400.  He was presented with a £100 cash prize, a bottle of Beaulieu Bubbly and Autoglym cleaning products by Stunt Rider Steve Cooley.

A Garmin Zumo 220 Bike Sat Nav was the prize in the free draw for all those booking advance tickets.
