Corrie killer Tracy Barlow heads to Truckfest South West

Kate Ford, the actress who portrays Coronation Street killer Tracy Barlow, will be heading to Truckfest South West this Sunday when the event returns to the Bath and West Showground, Somerset, on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July. Kate will step into the shoes of fellow Corrie actress Kym Marsh, who was billed to appear but has had to pull out due to her filming schedule.

Kate recently returned to the cobbled street after a three year break with her character Tracy currently behind bars for the murder of Charlie Stubbs. But that hasn’t stopped Tracy causing trouble and has seen her heavily involved in the recent storyline surrounding Gail Platt. After an initial two-month stint, Kate will then go on to make a full-time comeback to the soap later in the year, in time for the show's 50th anniversary.

Appearing on Saturday is former Hollyoaks heartthrob Ricky Whittle, best known as troubled Calvin Valentine in the Channel 4 drama and as a finalist in the recent series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Ricky, a former law graduate, found fame as a model before embarking on an acting career.

Other celebs appearing will be of the wheeled variety as Monster Truck Big Foot celebrates its 35th anniversary with a very special guest flying in from the USA to help Truckfest celebrate the birthday of the Worlds original monster truck. Also appearing will be Britain’s number one military display team, The Flying Gunners. Formed in 1949, the Flying Gunners have gone on to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of people at events all over the country.

Truckfest is open from 9am until 5.30pm. Day Tickets are available at £13.50 for adults and £6.50 for children.
