More than 90% of theatre fans are left cold by the thought of teen pop star Nick Jonas in hit musical Les Miserables, according to a poll by leading city break website Show-and-Stay.co.uk.

Jonas is best known for being one third of US band The Jonas Brothers, being linked to Miley Cyrus and wearing a chastity ring, and the 17-year-old is just coming to the end of a stint in the West End as Gavroche in Les Miserables.

He will return to the role on Sunday, October 3 in a special performance at London's O2 arena, to mark the show's 25th year.

However, a poll on Show and Stay's website revealed that 74% of those polled did not want to see the youngster in the role, with a further 20% simply not caring either way.

Just 6% of voters said that they were eager to see the popstar in the beloved musical.

The special performances at The O2 will also star Alfie Boe and Little Britain favourite Matt Lucas.

Les Mis is one of the most popular musicals of all time, and is set in the Parisian underworld during the French Restoration.

After being imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread, Jean Valjean is finally released 19 years later.

Once he is out, he is determined to change his ways and put his criminal past behind him.

Les Miserable 25th Anniversary ticket and hotel packages are available from Show and Stay and start at £238pp.
