Brighton

This summer the city-by-the-sea sets the stage for Soundwaves Festival 2010, 16 – 18 July.

Featuring cutting-edge music by bands and sound-artists from around the UK, audiences will be introduced to performances and participatory events by musical pioneers, sound experimentalists and ground-breaking visual artists.

Brighton University’s Sallis Benney Theatre will play host to the majority of performances, however the public can explore the multi-arts events in the open-air of Jubilee Square, as ‘Sonic Forest’ and a ‘Flash-mob Opera’ provide an immersive audio experience like no other.

Since the festival began in 2007, it has continued to develop and showcase the best alternative UK talent as the endless supply of world-class, avant-garde performances capture the imagination of all who hear them.
