Scania (Great Britain) Limited has recently delivered a second Scania OmniExpress coach to Thompson Tours of Christchurch, Dorset.

Thompson Tours Managing Director David Thompson ordered his first on the Scania stand at EuroBus Expo at the NEC Birmingham back in November 2008, where the Omni Express made its UK debut.  Since then, this flexible vehicle, which  offers all the features of a front line tourer and a driver inspired, ergonomically designed driver's area, has proved popular with customers and drivers alike.

In addition to its overall appeal, a major consideration behind Thompson Tours' purchasing decision was the aftersales support provided by Scania, with both the company's OmniExpress' now on repair and maintenance programmes at Scania (Great Britain) Limited's Poole location.

Both of Thompson Tours Scania OmniExpress coaches have 12.8 metre bodies with the first a 3.4-metre high body and 55-seats, plus driver and courier seats.  The latest addition a 3.6-metre high body and 51-seats, assigned to Angela Holidays of Southampton and is the second Thompson's coach working for the tour operator.  Thompson Tours now has a total of ten buses and coaches working on private hire, contracts with tour operators and local service routes.
