New cycling brand MyVelo is for the first time, giving consumers the chance to design and personalise their own bike – all from £375. Launching today, MyVelo will make men’s and women’s affordable, quality bikes, that can be designed and personalised online or in person at its West London showroom, available to everyone.
To purchase your bike you can visit myvelo.co.uk, where you can use the ingenious website to build your bike by choosing the colours of the frame, wheels, rims, mudguards, saddle, grips and from white, blue, green, black, red and mauve. And if your mind has gone blank you can use one of the MyVelo popular builds for inspiration or simply hit ‘randomise’. Once you have decided, just click order and your bike will be with you within 3 weeks - all for just £375.
Alternatively, if you like the idea of testing before you ride or seeing the colours up close, then you can visit the showroom in West London – just 20 minutes by tube from Oxford Circus.
Far away from the hustle and bustle of a traditional bike shop, at the MyVelo showroom you can go and design your own bike by choosing the different components off-the-shelf and playing around with different colour combinations for yourself. You can either watch your bike being built in the adjacent workshop or relax and enjoy a cappuccino whilst it is built. MyVelo will then custom fit it for you within an hour – ensuring a perfect and comfortable ride home on your very own MyVelo cycle.
'Cycling is a great way to save money, keep fit and have fun,' says MyVelo founder Raj Tandon ‘MyVelo gives consumers choice and enables them to personalise their bike If they want blue mudguards with a green frame then why shouldn't they have it!? I expect some users will even buy more than one set of mudguards,' explains Raj. 'That way they will then be able to change the colours to suit their mood.'
Designed and built to good specification the bikes are a Hybrid Sports cycle, available in both men's and women's frames and are ideal for both leisure and commuting. Excellent value for money, they are made from quality components including a lightweight aluminium alloy frame, 21 speed Shimano gears, a comfortable Italian Selle Bassano 3 zone comfort seat, fully adjustable stems and handlebars and Kenda puncture resistant tyres.
