Brits continue love affair with European travel

Recent research from Skyscanner has shown that European destinations are set to remain popular for UK travellers this summer. Spanish resorts such as Malaga, Alicante, Palma, Tenerife and Ibiza dominate the list.

Wherever UK holidaymakers are travelling this year, Post Office Travel Insurance advises that travellers have adequate travel insurance in place. Travel insurance can help to cover for unforeseen circumstances such as lost baggage, travel delays or injury while away.

Post Office Travel Insurance also advises holidaymakers that appropriate travel insurance cover should be carried in addition to the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). While an EHIC entitles the holder to the equivalent medical care as a resident in that country, Post Office Travel Insurance reminds travellers that it does not cover the cost of repatriation, private treatment, or personal baggage. An additional travel insurance policy will also provide in case of delays, cancellations, theft and damage to property.

Post Office Travel Insurance reminds holidaymakers that by ensuring they have adequate travel insurance in place before they travel, they can enjoy their European adventures in the comfort of knowing they are suitably covered for all eventualities.
