The Venga, Kia’s new B-segment MPV, has fought off strong established competition to win the title of Best Supermini-MPV in the prestigious Auto Express New Car Awards.

Auto Express Editor-in-Chief David Johns said: “The Venga is a refreshingly honest machine that doesn’t rely on gimmicks or high-profile gadgets for its appeal.  Instead, it simply provides lots of cabin and load space in a handsome package that also happens to be very attractively priced and good to drive.”

Critically acclaimed since its launch in February 2010 the European designed and built Venga combines attractive styling along with the practicalities and features of a larger car in a compact sub-four-metre package.  The Venga is available with a choice of 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines and a 1.4 CRDi diesel engine that features Intelligent Stop & Go stop-start technology which reduces emissions to a low 117g/km.  The Venga is available in three simply-titled trim levels: ‘1’, ‘2’, and ‘3’ – all come as standard with air conditioning, six airbags and Electronic Stability Control.  Features such as climate control, iPod connectivity and a panoramic sunroof are also available in the range.

Kia Motors (UK) Limited’s Managing Director, Michael Cole said: “Competition in this segment is particularly tough because customers are looking for an unrivalled combination of quality, style and value so I’m delighted that Venga has been recognised as the best in its class with one of the industry’s most prized awards.”

The Kia Venga is priced from £11,495 On The Road and, as every with Kia, comes with a seven year / 100,000 mile warranty as standard.  Further information on the Venga and the rest of the Kia range can be found at kia.co.uk.
