Family enjoy hassle-free move to Broughton Gate

Flexible housebuilder Taylor Wimpey helps family of four secure their dream home at stunning development of new homes in Milton Keynes.
Like many movers negotiating the pitfalls of the property market, Martyn and Anna Fearn encountered their share of problems when the time came for them to sell their old house and look for property for sale in Milton Keynes.
But thanks to the flexibility of Taylor Wimpey, the couple were still able to enjoy a stress-free move to their dream home at the leading housebuilder’s popular Broughton Gate development of houses for sale in Milton Keynes.
Martyn and Anna had decided to leave their previous property in Northampton to be closer to their jobs at the Open University, and to benefit from a wider choice of schools for their daughter Abigail (9) and son James (8).
They didn’t have to look far to find the perfect place – Taylor Wimpey’s Broughton Gate was the first new homes development they looked at. They promptly chose the four-bedroom detached house that was ideal for their family’s needs from the stunning collection of new homes for sale in Milton Keynes.
However, problems began when the buyer of their existing property was forced to pull out of the purchase, leaving them concerned that the move to their new Milton Keynes property might fall through altogether.
But as IT worker Martyn (38) recalls, they needn’t have worried about anything!
“We had agreed to exchange on our new home within 28 days of reservation, but because of the situation with our previous place, we were unable to do it,” he says.
“Fortunately for us, the Taylor Wimpey team were absolutely brilliant – they held our new home for as long as we needed, even though they were perfectly within their rights to put the property back on the market.
“Later on, we faced another problem when the sale of our old house was going ahead three months before the completion of our new home. We were looking at having to rent for three months, which would have been difficult and costly, but somehow Taylor Wimpey managed to speed up the build and bring our completion date forward.
“In the end we were able to move on the same day which saved us a huge amount of hassle and expense. I can’t thank Taylor Wimpey enough for their help and we’re chuffed to bits with our new place.”
Broughton Gate is in an ideal location for the Fearn family – not only is it within a few minutes’ drive of work for Martyn and Anna (37), but it is also just a short walk away from Abigail and James’s new schools, which they are due to start in September.
“We already knew about the development because we used to drive past it on our way to and from work, so we were well aware of its benefits location-wise,” Martyn adds.
“It’s perfectly placed for an easy commute and the kids’ schools are both virtually next door – plus there’s plenty of open space nearby as well as all the amenities we need.”
A selection of stunning three and four-bedroom homes is available now at Broughton Gate, including the ‘Charleston’ housetype from just £215,995 and the ‘Grantley’ semi-detached design from only £259,995.
Taylor Wimpey offers a range of fantastic incentives for purchasers with a home to sell, including the stress-free easymover scheme, through which the housebuilder finds a buyer for their current property in just a few weeks – and even pays the estate agents’ fees!
Incentives can be tailored to customers’ individual circumstances and are subject to availability, with further information available from the Sales Executive.
