Buckingham Park homes have 'the look'

Taylor Wimpey’s houses in Aylesbury offered the Lee family a spacious home for life.
When Rob Lee saw his wife, Shleena’s face when they looked inside a brand new family home at Buckingham Park, Aylesbury, he knew it was the one for them.
The newly-wed couple visited the Taylor Wimpey development with a view to upsize from their old home to a larger two-bedroom or three-bedroom house in which they could raise a family.
But after looking around the showhome and the properties for sale, they decided they could afford a lot more of the space they craved – and chose a fabulous four-bedroom house at Buckingham Park.
“We had started that day’s house-hunting at Watermead in Aylesbury, and although the area was very nice there was very little to choose from,” explains Rob.
“Over the road, Buckingham Park was really taking shape, and so we had a much better idea of what our home would look like, and the neighbourhood it was in. Then we saw the show house and we were blown away. It was exactly what we would love to be moving in to!
“Keeping in mind the size of home we were after, we looked around a three-bedroom property at Buckingham Park, then we had another look at a four-bedroom design, and as soon we walked through the door of that one, my wife gave me ‘the look’. I knew then we had found the home for us!”
The three-storey design of home that Rob and Shleena chose features a spacious kitchen/dining room occupying the ground floor, with separate utility and a handy guest cloakroom. The first-floor living room, study, two bedrooms and main bathroom are capped by a superb top storey, with two spacious en-suite bedrooms.
“We were really surprised by the amount of space, both in the kitchen and upstairs, and although we had had two or three-bedroom houses in Aylesbury in mind, we decided a four-bedroom place was better value in the long-run,” adds Rob, “it’s the best decision we could have made!
“The layout of the kitchen is great for when friends come over because we’ve got so much room for them to sit down and relax, and space for putting out food. In our old house the kitchen was tiny – it barely big enough for three people.
“Plus, I have the opportunity to work from home regularly, and so having proper space for this makes a real difference.
“I see us living in here as a family for the next 20 or 30 years – until Asyrah and any future brothers or sisters have all grown up and there’s just the two of us again. When we’re in our seventies, or maybe our eighties, we’ll then think about giving up this home for something smaller!”
Adds Shleena: “We’ve got married, moved home and have just had a baby – all in just two years – and it’s all gone so well. We love the space and the size of the rooms of our new home, and the layout has everything we wanted. Plus, the customer care we received was really good, and with Taylor Wimpey’s help moving wasn’t stressful at all.
“We feel so lucky to have a house like this, where we can invite friends around and have room for our family to grow.”
