Titan HiTours launches first Cruise Collection brochure
Titan HiTours, the escorted tours specialist, has unveiled its brand new Cruise Collection brochure for 2011. For the first time this brochure constitutes the company's most comprehensive cruise programme and encompasses a full selection of river and ocean cruises (many combined with land-based touring packages) that take in every possible point of the compass.
With highlights ranging from the splendour of a sea crossing on the Queen Mary 2 to some fascinating journeys of discovery on Europe's most scenic waterways, plus seven brand new holiday itineraries, the Cruise Collection presents an unrivalled choice of exciting holidays afloat combined with the quality, high standards and value for money for which Titan HiTours is renowned.
A particular high point of the Cruise Collection is the introduction of complimentary door-to-door transfers to the nearest regional airport for all customers based in mainland Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. This complements the existing VIP Home Departure Service, which has long existed for customers based in mainland England and Wales (plus the Isle of Wight) to provide door-to-door transfers to the London airports (or the sea ports of Dover and Southampton for ex-UK cruises). This enhanced service means that customers on every Cruise Collection holiday can now be comfortably transferred between their own front door and their departure point, ensuring complete convenience and peace of mind no matter where they live in the United Kingdom.
The Cruise Collection brochure contains a total of seven brand new itineraries, four of which are no-fly options that involve direct departures from UK seaports. Closest to home is the 10-day Treasures of the British Isles cruise, which departs from Dover on 10 June, 2011 and involves a circumnavigation of the British mainland aboard the elegant Fred. Olsen ship, Black Watch. Stops along the way include Guernsey, Dublin, the Orkney Islands and the Isle of Mull's picture-perfect port of Tobermory, with a full programme of optional excursions being available at each port of call. This holiday costs from £1,095 per person, to include full-board accommodation, an excursion in Dublin, services of a Titan HiTours tour manager, all port taxes and the VIP Home Departure Service.
Also priced from £1,095 per person is the 9-day Fjordland Adventure cruise, which departs from Dover on 1 July, 2011 for a crossing of the North Sea and exploration of Norway's stunning coastal fjords. The first port of call is the historic town of Stavanger before the ship continues in its discovery of the majestic and seemingly pristine fjords. Highlights include an optional excursion aboard the Flam railway, which climbs nearly 3,000 feet to the village of Myrdal via mountain tunnels and thundering waterfalls. The price includes full-board accommodation on the Black Watch, an excursion in Stavanger, services of a Titan HiTours tour manager, all port taxes and the VIP Home Departure Service.
The two other new no-fly itineraries are both to Iberian destinations, the first of which is the 13-day Canary Islands Easter Cruise which departs from Southampton on 15 April, 2011 (from £1,195 per person). Taking in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon and the sunshine islands of Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Madeira, this leisurely cruise also includes six full days at sea, giving guests plenty of time to relax and take advantages of the ship's many facilities. This is closely followed by the 11-day Springtime Iberian Sunshine itinerary (from £995 per person), which departs Southampton over the Easter weekend on 23 April with stops in Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Gibraltar. Both prices include full-board accommodation, services of a Titan HiTours tour manager, all port taxes and the VIP Home Departure Service.
Mainland Europe is also the destination for another new itinerary, the Images of the Elbe. This 10-day river cruise aboard the Frederic Chopin is preceded with a two-night stay in Berlin, complete with city tour to uncover the key sights and monuments. The cruise then sets sail along the German Elbe, via Magdeburg and Dresden to the Czech Republic and on to the fascinating city of Prague. This holiday offers four possible departure dates and costs from £1,795 per person, to include flights, transfers, most meals (full-board on the cruise), sightseeing tours as detailed in the itinerary, port taxes and the VIP Home Departure Service.
There are also plenty of cruising options to be enjoyed on the high seas, with two brand new itineraries over on the other side of the Atlantic. Sun-seekers will enjoy the 18-day Barbados and the Best of the Caribbean itinerary, a cruise-and-stay package that blends a two-night stay in a colonial-style beachfront hotel with a 14-night cruise around some of the eastern Caribbean's most beautiful islands. The cruise (which is based aboard the Fred. Olsen ship Braemar) calls at Grenada, Curacao, St Maarten, Antigua and St Lucia, among others, with a full programme of optional sightseeing excursions being available in each port of call. There are five possible departure dates between January-March, 2011, with the holiday costing from £2,195 per person to include flights, transfers, some meals (full-board on the cruise), sightseeing tours as detailed in the itinerary, port taxes and the VIP Home Departure Service.
Those who prefer the splendour of the great outdoors and a range of transport options will enjoy the series of trains, boats and planes on the new 17 day ‘Rocky Mountaineer and Deluxe Alaskan Voyage’ itinerary. Starting with an overland adventure through the Rocky Mountains via scenic Lake Louise and Jasper National Park, before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer train service through the pristine Canadian wilderness to the vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. From here, the journey continues aboard the deluxe MS Zuiderdam along the Alaskan seaboard, with plenty of opportunities to spot whales, eagles and glaciers along the way during the seven-night voyage. Departures are available throughout the summer months, with the holiday costing from £2,845 per person to include flights, transfers, some meals (full-board on the cruise), sightseeing tours as detailed in the itinerary, port taxes and the VIP Home Departure Service.
Commenting on the launch of the brochure, James Hewlett, Head of Marketing, said, "The Cruise Collection programme replaces our previous Cruise & Tour brochure in order to reflect the expanded breadth and variety of the cruise concepts that we offer. With our full selection of no-fly, cruise-and-stay and cruise-and-tour holidays, Titan HiTours now offers the very finest selection of worldwide cruise holidays on the market”.
