Barratt's Hinkler Place launches this weekend in Southampton

The eagerly awaited £15m regeneration to Southampton’s Thornhill area officially opens this weekend (25 Sept) as Barratt launches its new development, Hinkler Place.

The housebuilder is inviting local residents and potential buyers to the official launch from 12-5pm where visitors can enjoy a champagne reception and get the chance to look at plans for the development and speak to the Barratt team.

Barratt sales director Mark Docherty said: “We are really excited to open sales for Hinker Place this weekend and officially launch the development. It’s fantastic to see the development take shape having worked closely with the residents here to make the regeneration dream a reality.”

When complete, Hinkler Place will consist of 106 new homes, which meet the Code 4 sustainability requirements. These requirements help both the environment and the home buyer with energy bills. The regeneration will also include five new retail units and a community centre.

Barratt worked closely with the council and the residents of Hinkler to provide a regenerated and exciting area to live and work in with fantastic help and financial support from Homes and Community Agency (HCA), Partnership Urban South Hampshire (PUSH) and Thornhill Plus You.
