Arcon Village offers homebuyers the opportunity to be part of historic Horwich

Homes steeped in history are now ready to move into in Horwich, Lancashire.

And home owners can take advantage of a special scheme designed to help them sell their existing property quickly and move into a home full of character in a unique location.

Arcon Village began life as an 18th century bleach works and now enjoys Grade II listed status.

Award-winning housebuilder Redrow has lovingly restored the old buildings and carefully constructed new ones in keeping with the area to provide homes that are full of character.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Arcon Village offers homebuyers the charm of an older property, but without the need to invest time and money on expensive repairs, renovations and running costs.”

With only 13 plots remaining, many of them now build-complete and waiting for the finishing touches that help turn a house into a home, Redrow recently opened the doors to all of the properties – enabling potential purchasers to picture themselves living at Arcon Village.

Lesley added: “During the open house event, dozens of people took the opportunity to look around the remaining properties, which include a two-bedroom apartment and a choice of three and four-bedroom homes. They also learned how Mastermove can help them move to this tranquil retreat in the heart of Lancashire.”

Designed to help take the hassle out of moving, Mastermove uses the services of a local estate agent to market a customer’s home with Redrow paying the selling fees.

“Surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet just a short distance from Horwich town centre and within easy reach of Bolton, the stone built traditional exteriors of the homes at Arcon Village have a timeless feel,” Lesley commented.

“We’ve lovingly restored each stone built property and designed new buildings to replicate those that were already in existence. And while the exteriors encapsulate the essence of the area’s industrial heritage, inside the homes are completely modern featuring convivial open plan living spaces, fashionable kitchen designs with floor to ceiling units and top brand name appliances, plus bathrooms suites with quality fixtures and fittings.”

Prices at Arcon Village start from £139,995 for a two-bedroom apartment.

To be in with a chance of snapping up one of the final homes visit the sales office, open Thursday to Monday inclusive, 10am to 5.30pm.
