Airline worker swoops up perfect property in Milton Keynes

Airline worker is delighted after touching down at his brand new home at Taylor Wimpey’s Broughton Gate development of new homes in Milton Keynes.
With a career in the ever-changing airline industry, John Massie has always needed to be flexible when it comes to relocating for his job.
When his company merged to form Thomson Airways, he and wife Theresa took flight from their Manchester home and touched down at Taylor Wimpey’s Broughton Gate development of houses for sale in Milton Keynes, within easy reach of his employer’s headquarters at Luton Airport.
“With the house and Milton Keynes location, we feel we have the all-round package,” says John, a Quality Manager for Thomson Airways, who is now settling in to his new Milton Keynes property with Theresa.
“We knew we wanted to be on the eastern side of Milton Keynes because road access is so good there. The M1 means my commute to Luton Airport is a simple one, and Theresa will also be within 20 minutes of Leighton Buzzard when she starts her new job there in the next few days.”
Their home itself is also a point of pride for John and Theresa, who snapped up a four-bedroom house by part-exchanging their old home back in Manchester through Taylor Wimpey’s quick and easy Part Exchange scheme.
“Our new place is so roomy inside, which was a really important factor for me,” explains John. “As strange as it may sound, one of the first attractions was the entrance hallway. I don’t like cramped, narrow halls, where you have to sidestep into the house if you have a bag with you. But this house has a great big hallway, and that sense of space is carried on throughout the different rooms.
“And, of course, with a brand new house you have the wonderful experience of living in a property that’s in perfect condition, with no work required. When you buy a second-hand home you are stuck with the previous owner’s decoration until you can find the time and money to change it.
“Here we were able to choose from Taylor Wimpey’s Options, such as the tiles on the walls and so on, which means you are moving into somewhere that has been tailored to your own tastes.”
By taking advantage of Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange initiative, John and Theresa were able to cut out the stresses relocating can cause.
John adds: “It was completely trouble-free for us. By part-exchanging our house in Manchester, we didn’t have to worry about a chain collapsing or a lengthy selling process. We also got a great valuation on our old home, and the reassurance that the move was guaranteed to go through.”
John and Theresa also added that they were delighted by the service they received before, during and after their move, from their “simply brilliant” Taylor Wimpey Sales Executive Marc Raynor, who works at Broughton Gate and guided them and many other purchasers through the moving process.
Marc is currently able to help homebuyers choose and move to a selection of three, four and five-bedroom houses at Broughton Gate, with prices ranging from only £215,995 to £399,995.
The detached four-bedroom ‘Fairfax’ with garage and two additional parking spaces is just one of the homes available to those wishing to part exchange their current property, and boasts a spacious kitchen/breakfast area, a generous lounge, a family room, a dining room, a utility room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.
Upstairs, the master bedroom and second bedroom – each enjoying en-suite facilities – can be found on the first floor alongside a home study, while two further double bedrooms and a family bathroom are located on the top floor.
Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange scheme offers qualifying customers the full market value for their current property, based on the average of three independent valuations.
With Taylor Wimpey as their buyer, there are no estate agent fees to pay and they can continue living in their current place until their new home is ready to move into.
Full details and terms and conditions of the scheme, plus incentives for first-time buyers and those with a purchaser for their current home are available by visiting the development.
Broughton Gate lies on the eastern edge of Milton Keynes, and will benefit from a range of amenities under construction alongside the homes, including excellent public transport links and a primary school.
A wider selection of facilities can be found in nearby Kingston, a major retail area lying just a mile to the south, while the shops and leisure amenities of central Milton Keynes is only a few minutes’ drive away, along the Portway Road.
Commuters will appreciate that Junction 14 of the M1 is only a mile from Broughton Gate, while Milton Keynes Central railway station runs regular 45-minute services to London Euston. For those travelling further afield, Luton Airport is only 24 miles away.
Broughton Gate Sales Centre and showhomes are located off Milton Road, Broughton, Milton Keynes. It is open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday and 1.30pm to 5pm on Monday.
