London tower run in aid of Action Against Hunger

As tower running sweeps major cities around the world, you can now sign up for London’s first ever double tower run and help raise money for humanitarian organisation Action Against Hunger.
The FT London Twin Peak Challenge invites participants to reach staggering new heights by racing up 1512 steps to the top of two of London’s most iconic buildings – CityPoint and The Broadgate Tower.
The 935 feet climb will take place on Sunday 7th November 2010 and Action Against Hunger is calling for people to sign up now.
Action Against Hunger is the Financial Times seasonal charity appeal partner for 2010/11, which involves the FT reporting on the charity’s work from November-January to raise money and increase awareness of the cause. FT editor Lionel Barber says: “We look forward to visiting some of the many countries in which it operates to bring its work to life for our readers. With the global economic recession contributing towards further hardship for vulnerable populations around the world, the cause could not be more urgent or the appeal more timely.”
All participants will receive a motivating warm-up session from a team of fitness instructors from The CityPoint Club and, after you’ve completed the challenge you can relax and enjoy free Pret refreshments, Crussh smoothies and a complimentary massage in the VIP chill out lounge overlooking the River Thames. You will even get exclusive access to the changing rooms, lockers and showers at Slim Jims health club, but more importantly, you will be raising much needed funds for Action Against Hunger’s life-saving programmes that help malnourished children in over 40 countries worldwide.
