Skipton Building Society is expanding its range of products to make it even easier for people to manage their money, by launching a Telephone Saver account.

The new account, which pays up to 2.25% on balances up to £1m, lets people manage their money at a time and location to suit them.

This is the first time the Society has entered the telephone accounts market but it is no stranger to offering members convenient ways to access their money. As well as its friendly and personal branch-based service,   the Society also offers flexible E-savings, enabling people to manage their money at the click of a button. The new Telephone Saver account further compliments this growing range of handy products.

The Telephone Saver rates are:

£1-£9,999 - 1.00% AER
£10k -24,999 - 2.00% AER
£25k - £1 million - 2.25% AER

Head of Products Kris Brewster said: "Every customer is different and has different needs. And at Skipton our main aim in launching the Telephone Saver is to make it easier for customers who aren't within easy reach of our branches or comfortable transacting online, to handle their accounts.

"It's always better for people to have a range of instant access, medium and long term savings, to make sure their money works best for their needs, and to help them achieve their savings goals. The new Telephone Saver account provides another great option for our members. As a mutual, we're committed to offering them long term good value, innovative, products like this."

The Telephone Saver account will be available from 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday; from 8am to 5.30pm on Fridays and from 9am to 12noon on Saturdays.
