First time buyers can move with ease thanks to Persimmon

With a recent report highlighting that parents of adult children actually want house prices to fall so their youngsters can afford to get onto the property ladder, the team at leading housebuilder, Persimmon Homes, is proud to boast a range of attractive and inexpensive properties ideal for first time buyers at the Cityscape development, off Fletton High Street in Peterborough.

“Unfortunately not all first time buyers can raid the ‘Bank of Mum and Dad’ and therefore need to raise a deposit and a mortgage with their own, often limited, finances,” states David Hodgson, sales director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands.

He adds: “Through our acclaimed 85 per cent shared equity scheme, our purchasers only need to find a small five per cent deposit and by choosing this option they are eligible to a greater range of competitive mortgage products.”

Cityscape hosts a collection of stylish two bedroom apartments and a number of two and three bedroom houses, and with prices starting from as little as £85,950 through Persimmon’s shared equity scheme, there really hasn’t been a better time to buy a brand new home. As an added bonus Persimmon is offering to pay legal fees up to £600 and will add carpets throughout on selected plots.

In addition to the shared equity incentive, Persimmon is promoting its Designpak package to first time buyers on the apartments, which not only includes furniture for the entire flat, but also incorporates a professionally designed interior scheme from one of four differing styles.

David concludes: “By their very nature, first time buyers are unlikely to have accumulated any furniture and often have to survive on hand-me-downs. Our Designpak deal, which has proved extremely popular with dozens of homebuyers at several of our developments, is the perfect way to style a first pad and it’s a win-win situated as it’s completely complimentary.”

Cityscape is being constructed in a cul-de-sac design so purchasers can enjoy the best of both worlds, close to the bright lights of Peterborough’s city centre, whilst being able to escape the hustle and bustle at home. There is an abundance of off road parking and two areas of public open space for residents and their friends and family to enjoy.

The development is conveniently located off Fletton High Street, which offers an array of shops and facilities, while Peterborough’s historic centre is found just a distance away and hosts an extensive selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and leisure facilities. The city also has excellent transport access, with the A1M just approximately four miles from the centre, while via Peterborough’s mainline train station, the capital is approximately a 55 minute ride away.
