Madeleine and Adam Moss are loving living at Miller Homes’ Birkacre Park development in Chorley.

Madeleine and Adam, along with their two children, moved into their new home towards the end of August and it already feels like home. Madeleine says: “It feels like a dream but our gorgeous new home is reality and we are loving it.”

Madeleine continues: “Birkacre Park is like no other new housing development we have seen. It’s really got the wow factor. It has a really different feel to where we were living previously in Little Hulton. It’s so quiet and peaceful here and has a rural feel even through we are close to town.”

Madeleine and Adam chose a ‘Westminster’ house design, a 4 bedroom, three storey home. Madeleine says: “We really wanted a three storey house, as it’s different. The ‘Westminster’ is much more spacious on the ground floor than other three storey properties we had viewed. The kitchen and adjoining family/dining room take up the whole of the downstairs. This is a great family space for us. I also like having the lounge on the first floor as it makes it a more private space, away from the chores.”

This is the first time the Moss’ have bought a new build home. Adam says: “We watched the property being built from scratch, which was brilliant. We also got involved in choosing the fixtures and fittings, which means we have kitchen units, tiles and flooring to our taste.”

The Moss’ have already settled into their new home and met with some of their neighbours. Madeleine says: “Birkacre Park has a really friendly feel to it and it seems like there is already a good community spirit.”

Madeleine added: “Living at Birkacre Park is a lot more convenient for me getting to work than where we were previously living. I’m a Pastoral Manager at a school in Bolton and my journey time is now reduced. Adam travels to Salford and it takes him just ten minutes longer to get work.”

Madeleine and Adam decided to take advantage of Miller Homes’ part exchange scheme to buy their new home. Madeleine says: “We decided to part exchange our old home, as there was less chance of things going wrong, like a chain collapsing. Part exchanging was a really easy way to buy and I would encourage people looking to move to consider it. Nina Jackson-Clayton, the Miller Homes’ sales adviser, was brilliant and kept in contact with us all the way through. We’d like to say a big thank you to Miller Homes.”

Birkacre Park is an attractive development of 3, 4, and 5 bedroom homes, which visitors will first appreciate when they approach via the tree-lined Lower Burgh Way. With landscaped parkland and water feature at the entrance of the development the new homes have a calm and tranquil setting. As the Moss’ are finding, Birkacre Park offers residents the benefits of both outdoor activities on their doorstep and Chorley town centre amenities close by.

Prices for a 3 bedroom home currently start at £169,950, with 4 bedroom properties available from £189,950. Miller Homes’ MiWay shared equity option is available, so home-buyers could pay £144,456 now yet confidently own 100% of their new 3-bed home. Deposit Match is a further option.

Full details of the properties, MiWay and Deposit Match are available from the Birkacre Park marketing suite on Lower Burgh Way, Eaves Green, Chorley, PR7 3TA. It is open Thursday to Monday from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
