BlackBerry Torch 9800 now available on Three

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the first RIM smartphone which combines a touchscreen with a QWERTY slider – flexible for flicking between internet browsing and bashing out lengthy emails or documents. The Torch comes with the new BlackBerry 6.0 software which provides a cleaner and richer user experience for faster browsing and easier access to applications like social networking.
Three is the UK’s biggest 3G network and gives customers freedom to use the internet on smartphones like BlackBerry - with extras like free Twitter and Windows Live Messenger. Customers also get access to the BlackBerry services contract customers currently enjoy including BlackBerry Messenger, Email App World.
Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at Three said, “When paired with Three’s high speed network, the BlackBerry Torch really comes into its own, allowing users to access their favourite web pages and social networking sites with ease.”
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is available in black with Three on contract for £35 a month on The One Plan - 2000 any network minutes, 5000 Three-to-Three minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB data - and a £249 handset charge.
BlackBerry Pay As You Go (PAYG)
Today marks the launch of Three’s new BlackBerry Pay As You Go (PAYG) offering, starting with BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G. Sylvia Chind, Head of Devices at Three said, “With the growth of our 3G network across the UK, we want to give more people access to our smartphones and services, so opening the BlackBerry range up to PAYG customers was an easy decision for us. Providing new BlackBerry owners with more flexibility than before, PAYG customers can enjoy Three’s award winning* network.”
The BlackBerry Curve will be available on Three’s recently announced All in One plan which gives you great value from £10 - 3,000 texts, 100 minutes and 500MB data: £219.99 including £20 top-up in 3 stores and £209.99 including £10 top-up on-line.
