Buyers flock to show home launch in Devizes
Over 100 visitors attended the launch of two family-friendly show homes - with children’s bedrooms inspired by the local wildlife - in Devizes.
Showcasing the style and quality of Redrow’s New Heritage Collection homes at Willowbrook, the four-bedroom ‘Oxford’ and three-bedroom ‘Warwick’ show homes have been professionally styled and furnished by an expert team of interior designers.
Hayley Zaple, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “We were delighted by the unprecedented number of visitors over the launch weekend. It has proved to us that there is a strong local market for homes of this calibre in Devizes.
“We had lots of positive feedback on the new designs, with many people commenting on the high quality of the buildings and successful combination of traditional exteriors and contemporary interiors.”
The New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product with more than a hint of nostalgia, influenced by the ‘Arts and Crafts’ era, but boasting a specification to meet the needs of modern lifestyles. We’ve also incorporated an owl room in one of the homes, and a Batman themed bedroom in the other, as a nod to the protected barn owl and bat populations we have here at Willowbrook.”
Redrow has built a number of bat and owl boxes, strategically placed around the development to provide new roosting spots for the creatures. Fortunately disruption to the creatures will be minimal as it was discovered that neither species uses the site for nesting or raising young.
Hayley added: “The wildlife is an important part of the environment here, so we thought it would be a great idea to subtly reflect that through the themed children’s rooms in our show homes.
“Just like our New Heritage Collection, the show homes bring together the best of old and new - we’ve effortlessly blended traditional items of furniture with contemporary elements to create a timeless look. The show homes have been designed to reflect the way real people live their lives – we wanted to create a look people were inspired by, but also one they felt suited their everyday family life.”
Redrow’s development is close to the shops, schools and services of Devizes, a historic market town at the heart of Wiltshire, which also offers good commuter access to Bath and Swindon.
Three, four and six bedroom homes are available priced from £250,000 to £410,000.
