Three will range the Samsung Omnia 7 – the first Three handset to offer the new Windows Phone 7 operating system.

The Samsung Omnia 7 features the Windows Phone 7 user interface and integrated experiences. It will also feature Xbox LIVE games and the Zune music and video experience, which Microsoft has brought together for the first time.

Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at Three said “97% of the traffic on our network comes from data use and we’ve built a network to support this type of smartphone and the live dynamic updates it provides across social media platforms and internet services.”

“We want to provide a range of handsets and operating systems to our customers and we’re excited to now offer Windows Phone 7 on the Samsung Omnia 7. This handset further bolsters our smartphone offering at a time when our network is at its strongest and when we can offer customers a sizable 1GB of data on The One Plan for them to enjoy all the features Windows Phone 7 offers.”

Customised for Three users, the 3 Hub will provide quick access to account management with My3, the best links to the mobile internet via Planet 3 and Bookmarks as well as thousands of apps in on Windows Phone Marketplace

Pre order will be available from Tuesday 12th Oct at three.co.uk/windowsphone

The Samsung Omnia 7 will be available from 21st Oct in black on The One Plan for £40.00, the Internet Texter 900 for £38.00 and Internet Texter 500 for £35.00 per month.
